The Modest Scrub Top page brings together tops from two different collections: UltraLycra Modest and Happiness Modest. Both series are designed to meet modest requirements, but they differ in fabric construction, colour palette and how they feel to wear.
Two Series, Two Different Feels
UltraLycra Modest
The main series of the collection, with stretch fabric putting freedom of movement first. Long sleeves, a closed round neckline, a lightly loose body cut. Its colour range is the widest in the collection: navy, dark purple, indigo, red, surgical green, burgundy, ceil blue, dusty rose, terracotta, khaki, dark green, cherry, saffron, petrol blue, anthracite, aqua, bronze pink, lilac, fuchsia, ice blue — more than 20 tones.
Happiness Modest
An alternative collection with a softer, fuller texture and a premium feel. A more minimal, neutral palette in white, plum, stone beige and biscuit. Ideal for anyone who prefers clinical white or is looking for earth and neutral tones. On the white model, the fabric density was built specifically to keep the garment opaque.
Why Buy the Top on Its Own?
There are several practical reasons to buy a single top.
To pair with a bottom you already have: Replacing only the top to wear with your Modest Scrub Pants or Modest Cargo Scrub Pants (Cool) is both economical and practical.
Different top and bottom sizes: For wearers whose shoulder or bust measurement falls in a different size band from their hip, buying each piece in its own size gives a far better fit than buying a set.
Variety in colour: Pairing different coloured tops with the same bottom gives you a different look for every day of the week. The breadth of the Modest palette makes that easy.
A spare top: At a busy working pace, having a spare on hand is useful when you need to change your top during the day.
Block and Technical Details
Sleeve Length
A long sleeve reaching the wrist, cut long enough that it does not ride up when you lean forward or raise an arm. The cuff is not tight; it keeps you covered without restricting movement. The stretch fabric means no pulling or dragging during arm movement.
Neckline
A round, closed neckline that frames the neck evenly. It does not fall open when you lean forward, and is closed enough that a separate neck covering or high-necked under-layer is not required. A thin layer underneath works for anyone who plans to layer, but it is not necessary.
Body Cut
A lightly loose construction that does not follow the body's lines. Neither tight nor oversized — a balanced cut that supports movement. The front length is designed so the back stays covered when you bend.
Pockets
Chest pocket and side pockets sit at depths and positions suited to medical use, within easy reach for a pen, scissors, a notebook or small medical equipment.

A Note on Colour for Modest Wearers
UltraLycra Modest's 20-plus colours give a great deal of flexibility, but in modest wear it is worth considering how much light some colours let through.
Dark and mid tones (navy, burgundy, anthracite, dark green, dark purple, cherry, petrol blue, surgical green, indigo) are the safest choices — the risk of turning sheer under light is minimal.
If you prefer lighter tones (saffron, ice blue, aqua, lilac, fuchsia, bronze pink), planning a thin layer underneath is worthwhile. The white model in Happiness Modest is produced with a dense fabric construction developed with exactly this in mind.
